You're in touch

The form or a quick WhatsApp message is all it takes. Tell me in a few words what is on your mind: a consultation, a second opinion or something urgent. You do not need the right words for it, we will work it out together.

I'll call you back.

I get back to you myself, usually the same day, to agree a time that suits you and answer your first questions.

We meet at the practice

At the practice in Tangier I take the time to listen, examine your heart and circulation, and explain in plain words where you stand.

I'll stay by your side.

Before an operation and after it, you are never on your own: close follow-up, and someone reachable for any cardiovascular emergency.

Questions common

Before your appointment
How do I make an appointment? Is it complicated?
Not at all, and that is deliberate. Fill in the form above, write to me on WhatsApp or call +212 661 942 375, whichever suits you best. Someone calls you back, usually the same day, to agree a time for your consultation in Tangier. Nothing is committed: getting in touch simply starts the conversation.
How's the first consultation going?
There is nothing daunting about it. We start by talking through what you are feeling, your medical history and what worries you. I then examine you and go through your heart and vascular tests. By the end you leave knowing what you have and what I am suggesting, whether that is simple monitoring, further tests or, if it is needed, an operation. Ask anything you like, there is no such thing as an awkward question.
What do I have to bring, and if I don't have everything?
If you have them to hand, bring your recent tests (blood work, heart ultrasound, coronary angiogram, CT scan, written reports) and a list of the medicines you are taking. A letter from your GP helps. But do not worry if you are missing things: we will work with what you have and fill in the gaps as needed.
Do you need a letter from the attending doctor?
No, it is not required. It is simply useful, because it helps me understand your history and how you got here. You are very welcome to come straight to me, particularly for a second opinion on heart surgery.
Can I ask for a second opinion?
Yes, and it is entirely reasonable: asking for a second opinion before heart surgery is a sound and common step. Say so in your message and attach your reports; you will get a clear, honest and independent opinion, so you can decide with confidence.
Where is the practice?
The practice is at the Riad Marshan Clinic, 18 rue Hasnouna, avenue Ibn Hazm, Tangier. Directions and access details are sent to you again when we confirm your appointment.
What if it's urgent?
Cardiovascular emergencies are covered around the clock, so never hesitate to call, however late. But with severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, a blackout or loss of consciousness, do not lose time: call the emergency services or go straight to the nearest emergency department. Your safety comes first.
