Every medical situation is unique and calls for a personal consultation.

A second opinion commits you to nothing

When do you need a surgical opinion?

These situations deserve a surgeon's review before the decision is made.

  • Heart surgery has been suggested to you, and you want to be sure
  • A diagnosis made elsewhere that you want to understand before deciding
  • An angiogram or echocardiogram to be reviewed
  • Breathlessness or pain getting worse despite treatment
  • You are torn between monitoring and operating
  • You were told your case was too severe, or too late
  • A relative needing surgery, and no one to explain it to you
  • You are coming from Tetouan, Larache, Al Hoceima or elsewhere in the North

Before deciding

Your questions

Clear answers so you can move forward with confidence.

I have been told I need surgery. Can I get a second opinion?
Yes, and this is a sound approach before any heart surgery. Bring your reports, your coronary angiogram or your ultrasound: Dr Tber reviews them with you and gives you a clear, honest and independent opinion, whether or not he confirms the need for surgery.
What is the cost of heart surgery?
It depends on the surgery, the technique and the length of the hospital stay, and it is given to you after the consultation, once the procedure is precisely defined. No commitment is made until you have fully understood everything.
How long does a hospital stay last?
Generally 5 to 7 days for open-heart surgery, less for some minimally invasive techniques. The exact length is given to you at the consultation, based on your case.
What is off-pump coronary bypass?
A bypass performed without stopping the heart or using a heart-lung machine. It is offered when the anatomy allows it; the choice is made at the consultation, based on your test results.
Is minimally invasive surgery for everyone?
No. It is offered when the case is suitable. Dr Tber will tell you plainly whether it is possible for you, and why.
I am coming from Tetouan, Larache or Al Hoceima. How does it work?
The practice sees patients from across the north. The consultation and assessment take place in a single visit when possible, to limit your travel.
What if it's urgent?
Cardiovascular emergencies are cared for 24/7: call +212 661 942 375. In case of severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, faintness or loss of consciousness, contact emergency services immediately or the nearest emergency department.
